What is "Transformation Coaching"?
The word transformation simply means - "changing from one state to another".
Transformation Coaching is the process of helping you move from one state that you are unhappy with, to one that is happier for you.
That means that if you came to me with the problem of having, say, limiting beliefs, we will work together to enable you change those beliefs to ones that are self-empowering.
Let's take, for example, this limiting belief: "I am too fat to find love".
We all have the inner-critic that tells us what horrible things we like to hear.
This inner-voice can be a brutal critic sometimes. If we listen to it, we will not even want to step outside of our houses because we might be afraid that something bad might happen to us.
HOW TO DEAL WITH YOUR NEGATIVE SELF-TALK.
Step 1: Separate Yourself From Your Inner Critic - Give that Voice a Name.
Let's call it: "Regie".
Whenever you hear a negative self-talk from the voice in your head, know the following truths:
- You ARE NOT that Voice.
- You are IN CONTROL of that Voice.
- You Can Change that Negative Self-Talk.
Step 2. Talk to Reggie.
Thanks Reggie for reminding me of my weight.
"I have better do something about it, haven't I?"
I will join weight-watchers right -away. Let me find their contact details on Google.
"But", says Reggie, " that will take forever before you begin to look good again .. forever. You are just too fat!"
"Shut up, Reggie!. I will lose the weight I want. I will be slim and attractive again in the next six months! You wait and see..I will start taking the right actions right now.."
Step 3. Imagine that You can see Reggie - See it as a squashed Ugly Image
Now looking down at Reggie, and give it a whack on the head with a soft club!!
"You cannot stop me, Reggie!! I will take the right action starting now..you wait and see.
In 6 months' time, I would have lost a lot of weight.. And I'll be slim and beautiful again.
And better still, I will have found the Love of my Life!!"
CAN YOU SEE THE PROCESS OF CHANGE?
We all have limiting beliefs. They can crush you if you let them.
So, here's the process to squash the negative self-talk that is constantly criticizing you, telling you are "not good enough", "you are too ugly", "too fat", "too unintelligent", "too dumb", "too weak", "too frightened", etc..
YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR CURRENT STATE BY YOURSELF.
Just follow the steps below to change your negative self-talk and negative belief.
1. Be aware of what you are telling yourself that is negative.
2. Give that inner negative voice a name - eg. Reggie.
3. Take Control and tell Reggie off very sternly.
4. Make a concrete plan to improve that aspect of you that you were worried about.
5. Take immediate relevant action towards achieving your goal.
6. Stick to your plan very strictly.
7. Celebrate your success and transformation!!
So, to answer my first question - what is transformation coaching in a more direct way:
